Trip to Tallinn

Hey everybody !
This weekend, I went to Tallinn with Lotta and my host mother ! So we took a cruise ship. It's really impressive !
Tallinn is a very old city, but it's lovely. It is the country's major port, because Tallinn is Estonia's capital. This town has got 440 950 inhabitants, and it measures 159.2 km2. The origins of Tallinn date back to the 13th century. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I think we did more shopping than visiting, but that didn't stop us to visit this city. In fact, everything is cheaper in Estonia ! It was a very good moment.

Sport day at school

Hello everybody !
The last week, before ski holidays, we got a sport day. You choose a sport between cross-country ski, Finnish sledge ("pulkka"), ice skating... The courses are canceled ! But only for one day, don't worry. So, with Lou, Manisha, Eliina, Iina, Aino and other Finnish girls we chose ice skating. It was so good ! It was only during the morning. But the afternoon, hight school's students (the equivalent of our "Terminales") threw some sweets to celebrate their last year at school ! So, we got a lot of candies, and I gave mine to my host littles brothers.

Valentine's day at school !

Hey everybody !
Yesterday was Valentine's day. But in Finland, this day is not only for the lovers, it's for friends too. So, it's really different than in France ! When I woke up, my host little brother gave me a card, it was so cute ! And, on the kitchen table, the mother had left cups filled with chocolates. The school was also decorated ! Hearts and pink garlands were on the walls. Some students wore hearts of paper around the neck, so we could make them a hug and write our name in the heart. You also can buy a rose, and send it anonymously. I got a rose (thanks Manisha, Iina and Fanni) and I sent one to Manisha.
Then, during Home economics, we made "Valentine's cake". This day was so cool !

Ginger bread house

Hello everybody !
With Lotta, we made a ginger bread house. Yes, it's a Christmas's biscuit, but it's so funny to make ! So we bought the biscuit, and with cookie cutters, we made several shapes. We also made the foundations of the house. We made 1,5 kilos of ginger bread ! Fortunately, my host family like it !

We also made the snow (it was our glue). It's only sugar, with water ! For me, our little house was so beautiful !

Meeting with reindeers !

Hello everybody !
Saturday morning, with the shorts mobilities, we went to Haltia. Haltia is a museum, who talk about the nature. The group was separed in two : Spanish and Polish students together, and France and Austria students together. We visited it, and after, we went to walk in a forest, to meet wild reindeers ! It was so cool ! We fed them, and after, we went to a tepee, to drink a traditional beverage with apple and cinnamon. Then, we ate our picnic. During the walk in the forest, we started a snowball fight with the teachers, and fortunately we won.

The afternoon, we went to Jumbo with French girls and their penfriends. It was a very good day.
